Honda Elevate Facelift review: 7.6/10, Must Buy

Honda · Petrol · ₹11.80L - ₹18.40L · Launched 06 Oct 2026

ReviewHub score: 7.6/10 · Verdict: Must Buy — based on 7 YouTube reviews (7 positive, 0 mixed, 0 negative).

Honda finally answered 'but where are the features?' with ventilated seats in both rows and a 360 camera, at the same ₹11.80 lakh start. The engine, the small sunroof and the no-turbo, no-hybrid line-up didn't get the memo.

About this car

Honda's first update to its mid-size SUV since the 2023 launch: a de-chromed gloss-black face with tri-bar LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps, an ivory-and-black cabin, front and segment-first rear ventilated seats, powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake and Level 2 ADAS. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol (121 PS, 145 Nm) carries over with a 6-speed manual or CVT, across SV, V, VX, ZX, ZX Plus and ZX Plus Black. First-look verdict from launch walkarounds; driving reviews are still to come.

What owners and reviewers like

  • Big feature catch-up: ventilated front seats plus segment-first ventilated rear seats, 8-way powered driver's seat, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold - Times Drive: 'Who said Honda doesn't give features?'
  • Starting price unchanged at ₹11.80 lakh despite the additions, which Autocar India, Times Drive, TopGear India and Bunny Punia all call the Elevate's strongest card
  • Rear-seat space stays excellent (Bunny Punia, at 6 ft, had 4-5 inches of knee room) alongside a 458-litre boot and 220 mm ground clearance
  • Bolder, de-chromed front and connected LED tail lamps freshen the look without losing the Elevate's familiar shape
  • Honda says NVH has been improved and the 1.5-litre i-VTEC is already compliant with the 2027 emission norms

What to watch out for

  • Still only a single-pane sunroof - Bunny Punia calls it the only car in the segment without a bigger one, and Motor World wanted a full glass roof
  • Same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with no turbo, hybrid or DCT option, which Motor World and Autocar India flag against rivals
  • Several carry-overs: the 10.25-inch screen and semi-digital cluster are unchanged, and there are no rear sunshades or a powered tailgate
  • Autocar India notes rear space is decent but no longer class-leading against newer, larger rivals
  • No full driving reviews yet - the NVH and refinement improvements haven't been tested on the road

What each reviewer said

  • Autocar India (English) — Good Buy, 7/10
“A measured first look that likes the techy tri-bar DRL face, the high-quality ivory cabin, the ventilated and powered seats and the new 360 camera, and calls segment-first rear ventilation crucial for a chauffeur-driven market. It still flags rear space, a small sunroof and no turbo or hybrid. Bottom line: unchanged pricing keeps it in the fight.” Watch the review on YouTube
  • sansCARi sumit (Hindi) — Must Buy, 8.5/10
“An upbeat walkaround praising the more muscular 'black mafia' look, the standard 360 camera, four ventilated seats, disc brakes on all four wheels, the 458-litre boot and 220 mm ground clearance, and a cabin that feels quieter. Expects 14-18 km/l depending on driving style. Bottom line: more car at the same ₹11.80 lakh.” Watch the review on YouTube
  • CarWale (English) — Good Buy, 7/10
“A variant-and-features walkaround noting a completely redesigned, busier front, an all-ivory cabin, powered and ventilated front seats, segment-first rear ventilation and still-generous space, against an unchanged screen and single-pane sunroof. Bottom line: new looks and features on the same powertrain, at the same or lower prices.” Watch the review on YouTube
  • Times Drive (Hindi) — Must Buy, 8/10
“Calls it a very comprehensive update for buyers who thought the Elevate lacked features - PM2.5 purifier, ventilated seats in both rows, ambient lighting, electronic parking brake, 360 camera and blind-spot view - and is glad the i-VTEC engine stays. Bottom line: certainly a better value proposition than before.” Watch the review on YouTube
  • Motor World India (Hindi) — Good Buy, 7/10
“A detailed inside-out look that rates the front refresh well done and the rear ventilation a big addition, but lists misses: single-pane sunroof, old-style fuel lid, barely changed alloys, a manual tailgate and no new engine, DCT or hybrid. Bottom line: a timely refresh that makes it a good option again.” Watch the review on YouTube
  • Bunny Punia (Hindi) — Must Buy, 8/10
“A relaxed, extended walkaround of the white ZX Plus that applauds the unchanged entry price, a bold American-muscle-like face and excellent rear space for a 6-footer, while calling it the only car in the segment without a bigger sunroof. Bottom line: small changes, but very, very meaningful ones.” Watch the review on YouTube
  • TopGear Mag India (English) — Good Buy, 7.5/10
“A quick walkaround covering the segmented DRLs, the logo moved for the 360 camera, connected tail lamps, rear ventilation with three levels, powered front seats and the carried-over screen and cluster. Bottom line: at ₹11.80 lakh it is a proper Creta and Seltos rival with a better value proposition.” Watch the review on YouTube
