Story
Trivikram Srinivas writes and directs this family comedy thriller. Venkatesh heads a middle-class household at House No. 47 whose ordinary life is turned upside down by a lottery win and a violent gang, with Srinidhi Shetty, Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj and Satya in the cast and music by Thaman S.
What works
- Venkatesh's natural comedy timing and family-man performance, with Satya a scene-stealer (Ravi Telugu Traveller, Movies4u, Featu Gadi Media)
- A strong interval sequence and a light, funny first half full of Trivikram dialogue (Poolachokka, Cinemapicha, Thyview)
- A family-friendly crime-comedy attempt that day-one audiences largely enjoyed (TeluguOne, iDream Media, Mana Stars)
- A climax that tries to justify the earlier twists, which some reviewers found satisfying (Mahidhar Vibes, Box office muchatlu)
What doesn't
- Second half and last half hour called predictable, convenient or weaker than the first (Cinemapicha, Poolachokka, Thyview, Featu Gadi Media)
- Thaman's songs and their placement widely called disappointing (Poolachokka, Mahidhar Vibes, Movies4u)
- Nivetha Pethuraj and Nara Rohith tracks seen as wasted or under-written (Barbell, Poolachokka, Movies4u)
- Logic gaps and recycled ideas, with the harshest critics calling it outdated or poorly planned (Barbell, Movie Matters)
What each reviewer said
- Barbell Pitch Meetings (Telugu) — Skip, 3/10
“Enjoys a few Satya comedy bits but little else: Nivetha Pethuraj's role feels pointless, Venkatesh's romantic-style scenes are oddly written, a sudden dance interrupts a death threat, plot plans are conveniently timed and the climax waves everything off as a strange game of fate. Rates it below Guntur Kaaram. Bottom line: he would skip it and watch Baththa on Netflix instead.” Watch the review on YouTube - Ravi Telugu Traveller (Telugu) — Good Watch, 7/10
“Three friends watched together and averaged out at 3.5 out of 5: a flat first half hour, then a twist and a shocking interval bang lift it, Venkatesh's aggressive turn and Trivikram's crime-comedy writing work, and the second half holds up decently. One dialogue felt offensive. Bottom line: a wholesome family entertainer, rated 3.5 out of 5.” Watch the review on YouTube - Poolachokka (Telugu) — One-Time Watch, 5/10
“The first half works, with Satya's comedy, a fun auto scene and a good interval bang, but the second half fades into convenient writing and unearned emotion, Nivetha Pethuraj is wasted, the fights look artificial and Thaman's songs are 'outright bad'. Bottom line: rated 2.26 on his own 4.51-tomato scale, an average family film.” Watch the review on YouTube - Thyview (Telugu) — One-Time Watch, 5/10
“Calls it an in-progress 'Trivikram 2.0': sharp dialogue, first-half comedy, a strong interval and a decent opening to the second half, but rushed, undercooked scenes, loose editing, loud hit-and-miss music and unneeded tracks keep the family climax from landing. Bottom line: an okayish crime comedy that derails late.” Watch the review on YouTube - Cinemapicha (Telugu) — Good Watch, 6.5/10
“Loves the light, breezy first half full of Trivikram's sharp dialogue and an interesting interval twist, and praises Venkatesh and the cast, but says the last 45 minutes turn predictable and slow and the ending's connection falls flat. Bottom line: an easygoing entertainer; go in blind and bear with the final half hour.” Watch the review on YouTube - Movies4u Official (Telugu) — One-Time Watch, 5/10
“Praises Venkatesh's natural comedy timing, Trivikram's dialogue, the Bihar gang casting and the interval, but finds a small story stretched thin: an inconsistent screenplay, slow narration, weak Nara Rohith and police tracks, and songs that act as speed breakers. Bottom line: an average film, held up by Venkatesh.” Watch the review on YouTube - Mahidhar Vibes (Telugu) — Good Watch, 8/10
“Enjoys a fun, well-balanced family drama with a satisfying climax that justifies the earlier leaps and a well-used Satya, and calls Trivikram '90% back'. The big minus is Thaman's songs, one of them badly placed, plus some ideas recycled from past Trivikram films. Bottom line: a good weekend watch, rated 4 out of 5.” Watch the review on YouTube - Featu Gadi Media (Telugu) — One-Time Watch, 5.5/10
“Calls it a decent one-time watch carried by Satya's comedy, Venkatesh's family scenes and a good interval, but the second-half writing is basic, the villain track is weak, some scenes lack logic and the emotional bond never fully builds, with echoes of Blast and Drishyam. Bottom line: neither worst nor extraordinary; his rating is 2.755.” Watch the review on YouTube - Box office muchatlu (Telugu) — Good Watch, 8/10
“Calls it a Trivikram comeback: a smooth comedy first half that turns into a gripping action thriller, strong performances from Venkatesh, Srinidhi Shetty and the villain, a neat balance of comedy and family emotion, good music and rich production, and no lag. Bottom line: a good family entertainer, rated 4 out of 5.” Watch the review on YouTube - Rapchik (Telugu) — Good Watch, 6.5/10
“Calls it a decent watch with Trivikram's dialogue mark, good production and cinematography and a twist reveal that feels like a new Trivikram, plus Venkatesh and Satya's comedy; it turns predictable and slow in places and the songs disappoint. Bottom line: go with your family, he says, and don't expect too much.” Watch the review on YouTube - Movie Matters (Telugu) — Skip, 2/10
“A scathing pan: he says it looks like a TV serial in a theatre, with flat lighting and framing, a mash-up of the Tamil films Blast and Con City, forced rhyming dialogue, cringe comedy, convenient writing with no logic and recycled music. Bottom line: a harsh verdict that Trivikram's pen has lost its sharpness.” Watch the review on YouTube - TeluguOne (Telugu) — Good Watch, 7/10
“A day-one audience at Prasads IMAX is mostly happy: they call it a family Diwali entertainer and praise Satya's comedy, Venkatesh's timing, the interval and a surprising climax, while a few find the second half slow, serial-like or just average. Bottom line: mostly positive audience reaction, not a critic's review.” Watch the review on YouTube - iDream Media (Telugu) — Good Watch, 7.5/10
“Audience reaction from a Canadian screening: fans say 'Guruji is back', love the interval and the first-half comedy, call it a family entertainer and rave about Satya. The reporter calls it 'sweet and sour', wishing the villains had more weight in the second half. Bottom line: positive audience reaction, not a critic's review.” Watch the review on YouTube - Mana Stars (Telugu) — Good Watch, 7/10
“A theatre public talk: most viewers call it a fun family entertainer with strong comedy from Venkatesh and Satya and say Trivikram is back, though some feel lag in the second half and one says the story is nothing new. Bottom line: mostly positive audience reaction, not a critic's review.” Watch the review on YouTube - Telugu Filmnagar (Telugu) — Must Watch, 8/10
“Viewers outside the theatre call it a good family action-comedy: Satya's comedy and Venkatesh's timing are the highlights, with praise for the interval fight and twist, the dialogues and the climax. Bottom line: first-day fans are happy; this is audience reaction, not a critic's review.” Watch the review on YouTube - SumanTV (Telugu) — Good Watch, 6.5/10
“A mixed public talk: many viewers say Guruji is back and praise the interval, Satya, the dialogues and the family emotion, while others find the second half a bit laggy, Nara Rohith's track weak or call it a one-time watch, and one gives it 2.5. Bottom line: lukewarm-positive audience reaction, not a critic's review.” Watch the review on YouTube
